Online Therapy
Online therapy offers a flexible, accessible way to receive support from the comfort of your own home. It can be especially helpful during times of change, when life feels unfamiliar or when health, mobility, or energy levels make travelling difficult. Online sessions allow us to meet in a way that feels manageable, even when life around you feels uncertain.
Why people choose online therapy
Online therapy can be a good fit if you:
prefer the comfort and privacy of your own home
live with chronic pain or health conditions that make travel difficult
are adjusting to a life change and want support that fits around your routine
need flexibility around work, caring responsibilities, or energy levels
How online therapy works
Sessions take place via secure video call. You’ll need a quiet space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera. Sessions last 50 minutes and follow a steady, predictable structure.
Usually, therapy takes the following structure:
Assessment
This can take 1-2 sessions to complete;
It allows us to discuss what brought you to therapy, the difficulties you are experiencing, and your goals for therapy;
I will discuss with you confidentiality and the exceptions to this;
We will complete a risk assessment;
It is a chance for you to ask questions about the therapy process;
It also allows you to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me and whether I am the right therapist for you.
Therapy sessions
We will agree to a number of sessions, as well as the frequency with which we meet;
We will explore what might be keeping things stuck for you and why that is;
We will work on building practical skills and understanding key concepts to help move forward with the life that you want to be living.
